The Sake Institute of Ontario (SIO) is honoured to present the 3rd annual "Kampai Toronto", the largest sake festival in Canada. Our sake tasting event showcases over 120 of the best sake produced in Japan and North America. Every grade & style of sake will be presented, along with a myriad of appetizer-style foods courtesy of our local Restaurant Partners

The Sake Institute of Ontario (SIO) is a not-for-profit trade organization of Ontario-based sake distributors and manufacturers with the principal objective of educating and promoting the responsible consumption and enjoyment of sake.
The SIO is the organizer of Kampai Toronto, the largest sake festival in Canada and continues to focus on educating and increasing awareness of sake.

The Sake Institute of Ontario is pleased to announce Canada‘s first ever Toronto International Sake Challenge to be held on Monday, April 28. Breweries from Japan, Canada & the US will be submitting Ontario- marketed sakes for review by a panel of six esteemed judges.
The Toronto International Sake Challenge judges are:
Hiro Yoshida (Chef & Owner, Hiro Sushi)
David Beauroy (Wine Trade & Former Product Manager, Sake, LCBO Vintages)
Richard Feldkamp (Product Consultant, Sake Tasting Panel Member, LCBO)
Michael Pataran (Executive Chef, 99 Sudbury & Sake Writer)
Zoltan Szabo (Wine Writer & Sommelier)
Michael Tremblay (National Sake Sommelier, Ki Modern Japanese + Bar)
Sakes will be blind-tasted by the Judging Panel by category.
Awards will be determined using a point system.
Top-tier sakes will be re-tasted to determine Category Winners and an overall Championship Sake.
Winners will be formally announced and awards presented at the Kampai Toronto Media Launch on May 15th.
